Dr. Tosoni Discusses Soft Lift™ Treatments
Allergan, the manufacturer of Botox® and Juvederm®, has done a phenomenal job at increasing awareness for the Soft Lift™ treatment. It seems that everyone has seen the posters for this treatment, either in the physician’s office, magazines, TV ads, or through countless websites.
Janet, one of the models for this treatment, is recognized everywhere. Her results, like those of all Soft Lift™ models, are truly impressive. The best part is that the results shown in ads are a completely accurate representation of what this treatment can receive!
However, I don’t think there is another treatment that I offer at my clinic that gets more questions and general confusion than Soft Lift™ does.
So…what is Soft Lift™?
To put it simply, Soft Lift™ treatment:
- Is a non-surgical procedure
- Is performed as an in-office treatment
- Is entirely customized to your features
- And uses both Botox® Cosmetic and Juvederm® facial fillers
When planning treatment, I analyze 3 distinct areas of the face: the upper, mid, and lower sections, and from there put together a customized beauty plan based on the unique features of the patient sitting in my treatment chair.
In the upper third of the face, the goal is to relax forehead lines, soften frown lines, and perhaps raise the brows a touch and smooth crow’s feet.
In the mid-section of the face, the goal is to enhance the cheeks, fill in hollows and tear troughs, and soften smiles lines.
Finally, in the lower third of the face, the goal is to plump or define the lips, smooth lines around the mouth, and recreate youthful contours of the chin and jawline.
By using this systematic approach, nothing is missed or neglected and you get the impressive results you want.
To put it plainly, the Soft Lift™ is an innovative treatment where the synergy of two distinctive products, Botox® Cosmetic and Juvederm®, are combined into one treatment to create a natural, soft, youthful, and refined global facial rejuvenation.
How Long Does it Take?
This depends on how much one person needs and wants, but typically it can be done in one or two sessions, each usually taking 30 to 40 minutes.
Is it Expensive?
The cost varies greatly from one patient to the next as everyone ages differently with their unique features. Some patients may also choose to do a partial Soft Lift™ to start with while others want to have the whole face treated.
A basic lift typically costs between $1000 and $1500, while a full face Soft Lift™ in an older patient can cost $3000 to $3500 and there is everything in between. What is most important is that when we go through the assessment, we decide together what your goal is and budget and go from there.
Will I Have to Repeat Treatment?
The effects of the Botox® Cosmetic will last the usual 4 months, but Juvederm®’s effects should last between 12 and 18 months, and sometimes even longer.
To be perfectly honest, I love performing Soft Lift™ treatments! It is one of the most rewarding treatments that I provide in my clinic, simply because my patients cannot believe how much more refreshed they look, even as soon as they leave the office.
Next time you’re in the office, let’s discuss what your Soft Lift™ might look like!
